The importance of using AutoCorrect

In word where can I find all the Autocorrect stuff lives, so that when I type "yours" in a letter, it comes up "Yours sincerely, etc".

Go to Tools>AutoCorrect
Another "Auto" trick is AutoText.
You can put together pages of boiler plate language and insert it using just a few letters.

Ok I knew it but if I need to reformat my hard disk where can I find the file to save and to add after the formating.

Depending on the version you're using, back up:
*.DOT
*.DIC
and
*.ACL
