The Paul Revere Society

By ProtiusX ·
These are the goals of the Paul Revere Society

1. Support Traditional Marriage
2. Close the Borders now.
3. Deport all illegal immigrants now.
4. Eliminate bilingual education in all states.
5. Require health tests for all recent foreign born
Some say that the borders are arbitrary, English is only one of many languages in our new "Multicultural America," and that we share no common history or values.
6. Make tax cuts permanent.
7. End Affirmative Action
8. Tort Reform - Stop Class Action Lawyers.

If we as Americans stood together and accomplished these goals we would go along way in making this a vestige of Freedom and true Democracy for every American. One thing I would add and that would be stop foreign aid until we have paid off the American Debt.

Too Bad

I was interested in what you had to say. I would have liked to hear your point of view but I think we scared you away. I am sorry for that. I hope you will read this and try again.

What exactly offended you?

by awfernald In reply to

I read the original post, and then read it to my wife, and both of us actually agreed with it. Now to note:

I am a white male who spent most of the last 20 years living in non-English speaking foreign countries where I was the minority (Japan/Panama/Bolivia).

My wife is half Japanese, half Bolivian who does NOT speak English (though she is currently learning English with our youngest child).

So.... I agree, let's analyze each of the statements one by one

1. Support Traditional Marriage
A marriage is designed to create a family. However, a family is designed to bear and raise children. A marriage that does not include one man and one woman cannot meet that goal. Some people will say "well what about infertile men/women, does this mean they shouldn't get married?" No, because if they weren't infertile, they could have children. A marriage by two people of the same sex CANNOT under any circumstances procreate and create a child, thus, this CANNOT be construed as a marriage/family.

2. Close the Borders now.
Too expensive? Sure, easiest way to close the borders is to remove the incentive of crossing them illegally and/or making the penalty for crossing too severe to risk.

i.e. Penalize the EMPLOYERS of the illegal immigrants, and MAKE IT HURT!!!! Also, start using methods already in place to start tracking down those employers. No jobs = no income = no reason to immigrate illegally (won't completely stop it, however, it will slow it down). Also, when an illegal immigrant comes over, place them in US prison for violating OUR laws, and let them serve a one-two year prison sentence performing labor in the same farms as they wanted to work in, but let the wages go to the government with nothing but the clothes/food/shelter provided to the inmate. Hmm, went there to make money to send back to my family, but then I ended up being unable to support my family at all cause I didn't get paid for two years.

3. Deport all illegal immigrants now.
There are many ways to find illegal immigrants that ARE NOT USED!!!! But it is mainly because it is not the WILL of the legislature at both the state and federal level preventing it. However, look at how much the cost of Education, Health Care, Car Insurance, etc.... will go down when we can get some of the freeloaders out of our country!

4. Eliminate bilingual education in all states.
I believe this has been mostly accomplished already, but not in all states. I know most states now believe in the "immersion" method for teaching foreign students with limited English proficiency. This means the student is put into special ENGLISH taught classes, with the only benefit being that you WILL learn English before you can pass the class.

5. Require health tests for all recent foreign born.
I'd go so far as to say that this should apply to everyone equally, regardless of place of birth.

Some say that the borders are arbitrary, English is only one of many languages in our new "Multicultural America," and that we share no common history or values.

6. Make tax cuts permanent.
I would make most of the tax cuts permanent, especially the ones that impacted small business owners, and the ones that created double taxation of the same money from the same person. Those who say this helped the rich, I am no longer rich by any means, and the tax cuts helped me a TON!!!

7. End Affirmative Action
End discrimination by creating reverse discrimination? hmmm... ok... so now we have the lawsuits going the other way? Doesn't work now, didn't work then, it's gone, leave it dead.

8. Tort Reform - Stop Class Action Lawyers.
I don't know about stopping class action lawyers, I would aim more for the ridiculous frivolous lawsuits that people file. Ouch, I burned myself on the hot coffee I just got from you, you owe me 25 million dollars because I burned my crotch from sticking my coffee there and spilling it.

A little bit of common sense from the judiciary would be far more helpful than tort reform, however, too many judges are too far out in left field, guess we have to legislate it.

How about your intolerance?

No where did he say get rid of minorites or immigrants. Just the illegal ones that have no business being here and are criminals just by being here.
Affirmative action is reverse discrimination, and making a quota or mandate has not made for acceptance or understanding. It just creates resentment towards the "token" employee that everyone knows the only reason they got the job was because of race or gender. This doesn't sound like a positive thing in the work place.

Marriage has traditionally for centuries has been the union between one man and one woman in the majority of societies. Why should the majority of americans compromise what they believe in just because other people have come along and have choosen an "alternate lifestyle".
Just because of intollorant people like you will call them a christian or something terrible?

People deserve to live in peace and equality, I do agree with that.
If you CHOOSE a different life style then you should get a different title. Unions are accepted by the majority, but don't expect us to distort what we believe in because you want to justify or validate yourself.

I am interested....

Is this Paul Revere Society the same Pastor Paul Revere who in 1997 had his church seized by the government and beleives in citizenship of the kingdon of heaven over all else?
