Remember, Bill O'Reilly's job

by CharlieSpencer In reply to This is why you can never ...

is to keep viewers / listeners hanging around long enough to watch / listen to the commercials that pay his salary. He and all of the other 'news' channels' pundits, 'experts', and gasbags do this by saying whatever their audiences want to hear, regardless of accuracy or logic, regardless of whether they actually think, believe, or agree with what comes out of their own mouths. They're entertainers, not informers, and they and their networks know it although they won't publicly acknowledge it.

I have a license

by AnsuGisalas In reply to Dumbifies?

to make up words as I go along. Don't you?

Of Course

by dogknees In reply to I have a license

But I try to restrict it to situations where there is no currently accepted word. Like idiotization.

I use it for comedic effect.

by AnsuGisalas In reply to Of Course

or in this case because the phrase "makes people dumber" wouldn't fit.
