Don't say chocolate

by GSG In reply to CHOCOLATE!

Around me! I'm trying eat healthier, get my weight down, etc.., and I already threatened to tackle a friend for her chocolate ice cream bar.

I'm a woman on the edge, I tell ya!

Sweet Shoppe, double fudge truffles, pecan delights, caramel fudge truffles...need I say more? I can see the fountain counter from here too...temptation, the only thing I can't resist!

edit to add
ps---yes, I said "fountain", we have an old-fashioned 1946 model Baastian Heller fountain, and we still mix fountain drinks the old way!

Bad Wiz, Bad Wiz!

by GSG In reply to Yummmmm...

You're evil! The yummiest thing I've ever had was an old fashioned butterscotch soda made at a real soda fountain. Holy cow was that good.

Oh yeah! How about a "Coke 200"?

by wizard57m-cnet Moderator In reply to Bad Wiz, Bad Wiz!

or Coke 400? The 400 would be better...Coca Cola syrup, chocolate, and then cherry syrup, blended with carbonation to make a sweet, chocolaty, beverage with a bit of fiz! For the Coke 200, you hold the cherry syrup. Hmmm, now where'd that soda jerk go??
Oh, here I am!

Terrible Loss

by fiosdave In reply to Yummmmm...

Ever since Chardon closed down their chocolate shop in Manhattan, I have been very despondent. Their Champagne truffles were the best I've ever had, even better than the dozens we sampled in Switzerland!
P.S. They were flown in from Switzerland, daily.
Couldn't get much fresher than that!
