Are the duplicates counted this way? If the spammer posts the same message 30 times, and I flag it thirty times, does that count for one or thirty?

The spammer that I chased had 2 different messages, but I flagged them being posted in different threads at least 30 times.

Duplicates are for people...

by tcavadias Staff In reply to So

not for messages :-)

If you and say Purpleskys both happen to be viewing the same thread at the same time, and notice a spammer, you both would have the ability to flag that message (unless of course one of you happens to refresh and then you would see the "flagged").

This would send me "two" alerts for the same exact spam comment (duplicates are based on comment id's, not same message content), and this is where - who ever has the fastest clicker, gets the credit :-)

Frankly I'm still trying to work out

How I got 2 Votes Up in the Q&A.

Even though it's been a busy week last week and I'm wondering how I posted 41 Comments to the Discussion threads.

As for Spam I gave up counting it ages ago but it certainly feels as there has been a lot lately.

Now if I could only post to TR it would be nice.

But that count can not be from this week unless it's counting the number of posts that disappeared to the Bit Bucket.

I know one where HAL took over that OH SMEG's account in midstream.

by seanferd In reply to Frankly I'm still trying ...

Maybe that got an up vote, despite being a blank post.

edit: Oh, yup.

I guess neither your effort nor my comment were hints enough for someone to avoid the Airlocks. :0
