The outstanding job done posting latest comments first don't work no more. Is this apparent to anyone else?

7 Levels?

by CharlieSpencer In reply to Se it shows you just how ...

Test, test, test.

I've tried this once, but it didn't appear after reloading the page.

Edit - okay it worked this time. Have we been able to go down seven levels since the overhaul? Have I just missed it, or is it new / returned? Is it only at the Water Cooler, or can we go that deep over in the regular Discussions?

We never had 7 levels that I can remember

I think TR used to have something like 4 levels back in the olden days. Maybe that means they will finally get rid of the "take offline to the water cooler" thing which is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. All you end up with in the water cooler are random posts that don't mean anything because it doesn't reference the originating thread.

I would think the 7 level change is sitewide, though I haven't tried it out yet.

I want to know about replies to my posts first and foremost. How do I subscribe so I get this information?

AV, we had seven under the old format.

Since January we've been limited to (four?).

'Take Offline' falls into the category of 'It seemed like a good idea at the time'. It's one of those things that looked good on the drawing board but proved ineffective (at best) when implemented. Nobody uses it except vulpine.

os Win7 64bit IE and cookies are always on...i'm running the same way i've been running for years. I'm a M$ girl, please don't ask me to change browsers as I have no desire to do so. And I really don't see how any of that has anything to do with the bells and whistles on the TR site.

And to make it better, I run ccleaner regularly, clear history and whatnot, defrag and reboot...sooo...

Oh, i should mention, the same thing happens on my work pc...also win7 ie and this one dumps everything the minute i close by browser.

Trust me...don't switch to Firefox
