top 100 list as a contact list to ask questions, without even bothering to learn anything about the person they are sending the question to are becoming a real pain in the SPAM list.

I've started getting peer messages from members who I have never seen post anywhere on here, asking me how to do stuff with Flash, Java and Javascript.

what a joke huh? anyone who reads my posts knows I do not use, or support the use of, all three of those. Why would I help someone to implement them?

As far as I'm concerned, mining the top 100 for contacts to ask questions is spamming the peers asked, unless it is on a subject that the person being sent the question does post answers / comments in favor of.

Well according to Jaqui the Top 100 list

by HAL 9000 Moderator In reply to From my observations

Is made up of those who participate on TR and it geared to Questions answered, Posts made and Blogs Submitted if the last is still going.

I believe that the Old TRI was a group that helped the PTB at TR to shape the site and as Jaqui was always so forthcoming I think that he was part of this group who was responsible for misleading the PTB on TR on which way to proceed.

They where a shady lot who where not advertised over the site but sort of existed in the Background doing whatever. There where just a few references to them at different times in a fairly Cryptic fashion but whoever they where they are the ones responsible for making things the way that they are today. So now you know where to place the blame.

It's all Jaqui's Fault so lets blame him. :0

Ture Blue

by Jaqui In reply to From my observations

that's the point, the top 100 is site activity only.

some peers don't bother with using the questions on the site, they use the top 100 members to send them questions privately. With no attention paid to what the peer being asked knows about.

That's what I thought :)

by Jacky Howe In reply to Ture Blue

They want you to answer all their questions without posting in the Forums. :)

That's no bloody good. You won't get a Thumb! :)

Jeeze mate, you must be popular, nobody peers me for information unless it has to do with a question that has been posted. :)

by OH Smeg In reply to TR "peers" that use the

Not only are the Avatars no longer working but the entire site isn't loading right. I just tried to change user accounts and it took something like 5 minutes to load the page incompletely.

Jaqui what have you been up to this time?
