You'll need to install a Tuner card

by OldER Mycroft In reply to tv on pc

There are many available. You'll get ample responses by Googling for info.

Alternately, you could stream tv through the internet but it won't be live.

Yea, ATI & Hauppage are major brands

I know ATI's All in Wonder products are adequate for my home theater, although they require an external tuner for any channel over 125, as of the x850. Don't know if they've extended their range, don't care. I know nothing about Hauppage brand other than its name, and less about any others that maybe offering such products.

Depends on what you want

But Aver Media

Offer a good range of products that tend to do most things that people need. Just one point here though use PCI or PCMCIA plug in cards and avoid the USB devices as the data transfer is way to slow for anything of any decent quality.

They are OK for a NB in a caravan but nothing else where you are looking for good quality pictures. This is because you have limited bandwidth available through a USB 2 Port that doesn't happen with either PCI or PCMCIA Plug In Cards.
