Unable to scandisk

By computer_excel ·
I am getting error message "Do not have enough memory to perform scandisk " on large size hard disk. My computer has 128mb SRAMS with 500mHz Pentium motherboard.

What is the fix for it?

Had same issue, only different this I did was ran Norton antivirus and it found hybris.32 virus 17 times, deleted those uneeded files and after that was able to run scandisk.

This may be a stretch but if it is a Maxtor HDD and was ghosted there is a known timing issue with ghost and Maxtor drives. Get the latest version of Ghost 5.1d or later and ghost again.
