unexpected failure

By jdclyde ·
"An unexpected failure has occured. It has been logged and will be addressed by support."

I have gotten this message several times today. Who broke what?

The funny part is, do you have any EXPECTED failures in TR?

I am immune

by jdclyde In reply to ok mae

Good try Ldyosng, but as I ALWAYS have tunes going, I don't get this afliction.

As long as I have my tunes, my day goes pretty quickly. (and as I said, I ALWAYS have my tunes)

And if I am not in my office, I just click on my ipod I WON about a month ago. Much smaller than my rio, even if it isn't as good.

Charley's Angels

I think jd would be more likely to confess if we got Charley's Angels to start snooping around on his recent activities.

Could be a virus

Where's TR's servers located? If they're in Asia maybe they got hit by the Asian Bird Flu Virus.

Their in CA! You KNOW what they are like out there. Probably everyone went out for the group tree hug and left the WINDOZE servers unattended for a few minutes (and we all know that is all it takes!) ;\

Hug time is over, time to reboot the servers to "fix" them! :^O

Or maybe they had another blackout

by M_a_r_k In reply to Even worse

and no UPS (as in backup power supply, not the guys in the ugly brown trucks). What ever happened with those blackouts in California anyway? A few summers ago they were occurring all the time. Didn't they blame Enron for them? Personally I think Saddam's WMD's were causing them. We got rid of those weapons and haven't had any blackouts since.

I've known some pretty crappy software developers over the years. I always did expect their software to fail and it usually did.

The NSA (No Such Agency)

by Surflover In reply to unexpected failure

Has collected all your posts, and will be visiting you shortly to ascertain your involvement in the "outage" which was directly attributed to a terrorist plot resulting from the acceptance of non-government frendly attitudes displayed by those who post in TR, who are obviously terrorist supporters, based on the negative attitude display to the government as a whole...

terrorists and non-govt attitudes

by M_a_r_k In reply to The NSA (No Such Agency)

"terrorist plot resulting from the acceptance of non-government frendly attitudes"

Look out! I am sure some stiff-necked, uptight liberal here will slam you for claiming that everyone with a gripe against the government is a terrorist. I know you didn't claim such nonsense but SOMEBODY will twist your words around to suit their "everyone has a right to **** up buildings" head-in-the-sand attitude.
