I have gotten this message several times today. Who broke what?

The funny part is, do you have any EXPECTED failures in TR?

they are using POWER STRIPS, not even surge protectors! :^O

And having a UPS to keep a Windoze server from going down is like saying you are wearing a speedo in the rain so you don't get your cloths wet on the way to work? Like a Windows server need an excuse like lack of power to take it down? ;\

What do we need a guy in a brown outfit for anyway?

Luckily, Wal-Mart had a few dozen powerstrips on sale last month. TR was able to make thier hardware budget with no problems.

Now, if the could get this shag carpet to quit producing so much static-electricity... Sure, it makes the server room quieter and cozy, but it's heck when we run around in out stocking feet.

Unfortunately, I EXPECT the budget to be cut, the staff to be laid off, and the project time-frame to be shortened. Anything less is simply the shortsighted hopefulness of the under-experienced.
