Uninstall Deep Freeze

by amughnikhan In reply to Uninstall Deep Freeze

first time reinstall the deepfreeze.exe,
if this is not suitable for it, download DeepUnfreezerU1.6.exe or DeepUnfreezer1.6.exe run and a window will be appear to check out the current state of Deep freeze. Click on the Load Button that will be radio button to Boot Thawed and see in the msgbox OK:info retrieved will be appear and go to the Save Status the software msgbox will be show OK:State saved.
the program may need to read some information to the service file. Locate it manuall or automatically.

Deep Unfreezer tries to enable this privilege automatically. using the Administrator account use the 'at' command to run the program with the System account. The 'at' command allows you to run programs at a given time, so if it's 12:00 and the file is in C you can run Deep Unfreezer with the following command: at 12:01 /interactive "C:\DeepUnfreezer1.6.exe". When the clock changes to 12:01 the system will run Deep Unfreezer with debug privileges.

How to Uninstall Deep Freeze.............. :)

by Peconet Tietokoneet In reply to Uninstall Deep Freeze

Deep Freeze is installed on my computer. I would like to uninstall it. How is this done?

Disable Deep Freeze before uninstalling it.

To disable Deep Freeze:

1. Hold down the shift key and double-click the Deep Freeze icon. Alternatively, you can press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+F6.

>>>>If you can access Deep freeze by pressing: "CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+F6", then install it again and start form section one (1) above.<<<<<<

2. Enter your password and click OK.
3. If you have not yet entered a password you should be able to click OK without entering a password.
4. The Boot Options dialog is displayed. Select "Boot Thawed" and click OK. This will disable Deep Freeze on the next reboot.
5. Reboot your computer. After the computer reboots, you are ready to uninstall Deep Freeze.

To uninstall:

1. Locate the installation file you used to install Deep Freeze on your computer. By default, the name of this file is called "DF5Std.exe" for versions 5.X and "DF6Std.exe" for versions 6.X.
2. Run the installation file (DF5Std.exe or DF6Std.exe).
3. Select the option to "Uninstall"

Deep Freeze is uninstalled and your computer is rebooted.

Please post back if you have any more problems or questions.
