This week Molly and I ventured out to Yell in Reading so that she could meet all my old work colleagues. Molly loved being the centre of attention and was smiling and cooing at everyone, in?she behaved so well she was offered a job!! She weighed 9 pounds 6 ounces when she was weighed at the well baby clinic this week.

We went to see Nan and Grandpa Guest in their cattery this week. Gareth and I will also be celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary on Tuesday. Molly loves cats as you can see from the photo she and Princess were having a grand old chat this morning. -

This week Molly and I went in to Reading to have lunch with the girls. Molly very patiently sat through a whole 90 minutes in Nando’s before demanding her lunch. She’s now wearing lots of little jumpers and fleeces now that the weather is turning colder. She also has some hoodies and some trainers so she can be "Gangster Rap Molly". Madame weighs 9 pounds 14 ounces this week. -

This week I sorted out a passport for Molly as we’re going home to Dublin next month to show Molly where her Mummy’s from. She was so cute in Jessops having her photo taken – it tool them several atttempts as she was trying to ?pose every time they went near her with the camera!! My ex-boss Gwion came round to sign her forms (luckily she didn’t disgrace herself in front of him!) so we sent them off on the Saturday so Molly will have her very own passprt in a couple of weeks time – how cute is that? -

Molly laughed for the first time this week. Gareth and I were playing and singing to her and she started laughing! I think it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever heard. I think Molly’s going through a bit of a growth spurt at the moment as she wants to feed all the time and she’s now too big for her 0-3 clothes. Her passport arrived on Thursday so now she can be a jet-setting Molly. -

Molly and I spent this week with my Mum and Grandad up in Warrington. My Dad and Barry & Jen came over for the weekend as it was my birthday on the 31st. Molly loved seeing her Grandparents she’s now laughing cooing and wiggling all the time – she’s such a happy baby. I showed her my Grandad’s garden – it’s so strange to think that my Mum and Dad walked me round it when I was tiny and now I’m doing the same for Molly. -

The weaning has continued this week. So far I’ve intorduced Molly to pureed apple, mashed potatoe and strawberry baby rice. She loved the apple so much I don’t think it touched the sides on the way down but I think Daddy ate more baby rice than Molly did!! Molly weighs 11 pounds 5 ounces this week. -

Molly is now crawling, she gets about half way across her play mat, gets bored and starts sucking her thumb instead, it’s very cute. We bought her a high chair as she is sitting up on her own now and it makes it easier to feed her the baby rice. She’s had carrots this week and I’m going to try her on pears over the next couple of days. -

This week was Molly’s first time in Dublin with her Grandma and Grandad. She loved being on the plane, and going to the school where my parents work and going in to town to see St Stephen’s Green and the lights and Christmas tree on Grafton St. She was a very lucky Molly too as her Uncle Baz gave her Gromit (which he is very attached to!!). -

Molly started crawling this week, I put her in her bouncy chair in the kitchen (strapped in of course), turned around to fill up the kettle, turned around to check on Madame and somehow, she had managed to climb out of her chair and was crawling accross the kitchen floor towards me with a look of fierce determination on her face. I think she’s a very clever little bear that got bored in her chair and wanted a cuddle -

This week Molly met her Aunty Vicky, Uncle Andy and Great ?Aunty Jill. I think she was as much besotted with them as they were with her as she’s such a happy baby. I’ve introduced Molly to meat this week, so far she’s had Shepard’s pie, roast chicken and roast beef. The weaning has been going quite well, the only thing that Molly hates is cauliflower cheese (which I hate as well so quite frankly that’s one less thing I have to cook!). It was also Molly’s firsth time with a babysitter as I went to Gareth’s work x-mas do. We rushed home afterwards thinking that Molly would be missing us but the little Madame was all smiles, bouncing up and down on the babysitter’s lap. -

This week we found a childminder for Molly as I will be going back to work soon. I have been doing lots of interviews so hopefully I can find work closer to Madame as if I go back to my current job I’ll never see her because of the? working hours and commute. We spent most of the weekend wrapping x-mas presents but as soon as we wrapped them we’d turn round to see Molly unwraaping them. She’s lucky she’s cute! -

This week we went to Gareth’s parents for X-mas. Molly loved the excitement of Christmas day and loved her presents though I think she loved all the wrapping paper even more! Molly had a great time exploring my in-law’s house and their cattery. She was especially taken with the family pouches, Button and Poppy and the two newest additions, kittens Storm and Lightening. -

She had a second lot of Christmas dinner and presents too. One of her favorite presents was a Rolling Stones t-shirt that was given to her by her Aunty Jen so she’s now a Rocker Molly! -

I can’t believe Molly is 6 months old already. She’s now in her own Molly-nursery and is loving it. She looks so little in her cot, I think she’s a very brave baby. She loves the new cot mobile that my Mum & Dad bought her for x-mas,?it plays music and projects stars onto the ceiling so she’s absolutely fascinated by it.?She also starts with the childminder tomorrow.?I can’t believe I’m going back to work but am really excited about it. I have a lovely job in Reading so only down the road from Molly and very close to lots of baby shops. All I need to do now is pass my driving test then I’ll be able to spend even more time with Molly and Gareth.

Lots of changes this week. Molly was looked after by Georgina our childminder while I went back to work. Molly was fine; I was the one feeling wibbley leaving her for the first time. Molly was perfectly happy until 4 o’clock when she cried and started refusing bottles but was all smiles as soon as she (with a bit of help from Gareth!) met me from the station. She loved the rest of the week and is now taking bottles really well, she seems to have accepted that if I’m around she’ll get me; if I’m not around she’ll have a bottle. She’s still eating really well; we started her on yoghurt and cereal this week which she loves. She’s the centre of attention at Georges, she has all the other children running around after her and she even went in a ball pool on Wednesday!! I’m really enjoying being back at work, I’m so thrilled I managed to get a job in Reading as it’s only down the road and I still get to see lots of Gareth and Molly. I’m learning lots, making friends and gone for girly lunches. I joined the gym yesterday and have my induction this afternoon so it’s all good.

She has everyone else running around after her and may even be fameous as she was filmed by the "Dick and Dom" TV program on a day out. She’s still smiling and giggling away and now reached out to me? to be picked up when she sees me. I’m absoloutley shattered trying to juggle everything but am still really happy. -

This week Molly went in the ball pool at JJ’s again and she loved it. She’s definitely teething now and getting quite unsettled some nights but she’s so good, all we do is give some Bonjella and lots of cuddles and she goes back to sleep. I’m still really enjoying the new job, I’m shattered trying to fit everything in but am loving every second of being a working Mum (apart from saying goodbye to Molly in the mornings). Work threw a Chinese New Year party on Friday which was great, I’ll try and post some pictures of it next week as long as there’s nothing too incriminating!! Gareth was in Madrid for half of this week on a conference so I had some girlie nights in with my friends, I went to an NCT do with Molly and my friend Anita came round for dinner so it’s been a really good week. Had a driving lesson yesterday and Richard my instructor said that if I drove as well as I did yesterday on my next lesson on Friday he’s book me in for my test which I’m thrilled about.

THis week Molly learnt to be the centre of attention at George’s, she has figured out that if she coughs all the little boys run up to her and she becomes the star attraction. She’s going to be a little heartbreaker when she’s older. I’m really enjoying work, I’m getting back into ITIL and IT stuff. Am also waiting for Gareth to do his PRINCE2 course so then I can boorow his books and sit the exams later on this year. -

This week Molly had an ear infection. She was really unsettled on Tuesday night and cried and tried to hold on to me when I dropped her off at George?s which never happens (usually she wants to have a good old nosey at George and the other babies!). I got a phone call from George later on that morning saying that she hadn?t stopped crying so I left work (sprinting as fast as I could in a suit and heels to the train) and collected Molly. My friend Xara was a total star as she gave us a lift to the docs as Gareth had Molly?s pram in his car which was at work. The doctor was really nice and said that she had an ear infection but it was viral so antibiotics wouldn?t work so to give her Calpol and Baby Nurofen. Then he looked at Molly who had stopped crying the second I picked her up and cuddled her and said to keep on doing exactly what I?m doing as she obviously loves being cuddled. I spent the rest of the day with Molly in my arms (after being dosed up with her medicine) and she got happier and happier and was back to her usual self that night. She?s such a brave little baby. Still no sign of any teeth but she?s now saying ?Mum Mum? to me all the time now.

This week Molly learned how to blow kisses. She mainly blows them to me which I think is her way of saying ?Mummy, I?m so cute, you?re going to have to pick me up now?. She also sings along when I sing to her. Her favourite song is Daisy (or Molly as it?s sung in our household!). Madame also likes dancing with me, she particularly likes, Guns & Roses, U2, Aerosmith and bizarrely Bros, Will Smith and the theme tune from The Muscahounds (early 90?s cartoon series). My brother Baz actually found the official Muscahounds website which Molly loves. She?s fully over her ear infection and is now back to her usual happy self. She is due her 8 month check up with the health visitor soon which I?m sure she?ll fly through. We have a really nice health visitor called Cheryl who said that she will come and see us in the morning to give Molly her check up so I don?t have to take any time off work. I?m still really enjoying being back in ?the real world? and am starting to regain my Microsoft and ITIL superpowers. Gareth passed his PRINCE2 foundation exam and is awaiting the results on his practitioner exam which I?m sure he sailed through as Project Management seem to run in his family. Speaking of Gareth, he sent me this carton (attached) as it reminds him of Molly ? she definitely rules our house with a rod of iron:
?
?
I had a couple of mock driving tests at the weekend ? I failed the first one on the Newbury roundabout (it?s a nightmare ? it has 7 lanes!!!) but passed the second one. Am still waiting for my test date so fingers crossed.

This week Molly ran amok at George’s; basically she would never take a soother so when she sees other babies with soothers in their mouths she crawls over to them and takes them out!! She also knows what chocolate is all about (she’s certainly her mother’s daughter!) and is still babbling away (fave word is still Mum Mum). I have my date for my driving test – Monday the 3rd of April. My instructor?s quite confident so we’ll see. Had a bit of a moment today though, was driving Gareth and Madame to Tesco’s (to buy Molly shoes) and?I approached a mini roundabout. One of my L plates came off, there was a police car behind us and although I looked at the road, I managed to go round the roundabout in third gear so not good. I have finally managed to nail reversing in to parking bays (bizarrely?I could parallel park, reverse?around a corner and do three point turns but for some reason I couldn’t reverse into empty parking spaces!) so it’s not all bad. ?

This week Molly started saying ?Da Da? so Gareth is very proud. She?s still really happy and now eats a mashed up version of whatever we?re having for dinner now. She?s really enthuastic about ?proper? food and even makes lunges for our dinner sometimes! She?s also sitting up really well now and is still crawling backwards and forwards. No sign of any teeth yet, although I?m sure they?re not far off as everything seems to be going in her mouth these days. It?s very cold over here so Molly is dressed up as if she was Scott on his journey to the Antarctic every time she leaves the house. I?m learning all about Release Management as have been gives some extra stuff to do at work which I?m thrilled about. Have borrowed the Red and Blue ITIL books and am also trying to learn the basics of PRINCE2 so I know what everyone is talking about in meetings. Gareth had a week off work this week and went down to see his parents in Dorset on the Monday. Apparantly Molly howled as soon as she got there as she was out of routine. At least we know the system (eat ? sleep ? play ? cuddle repeat * 10!!) works ? most of the time J

Have managed to raise ?175 for the race for life so far. 1 more week until I can start training – can’t wait. Molly had her 8 month check up with the Health Visitor last Monday which she passed with flying colours. Can’t believe she weighs 17 pounds now – I can still remember when she could only fit into "Tiny Baby" clothes. She now also has a tooth – couldn’t believe how quickly it happened, no sign at all during the day – only thing George said to me was that she was Full of mischeaf – as usual!!!" Got her home, fed change, sleep. Then she woke up at 9 o’clock with her "Pain Cry" (very similar to the "you’re having chocolate and not giving me any" cry but with tears), Gareth and I sprinted upstairs to see what was wrong – couldn’t find anything so brought her in to our room to try and settle her. Then she opened her mouth and there it was – a tiny little tooth on the left hand side of her mouth. She was so brave as well, we gave her some Bonjella and a big cuddle and she smiled and went back to sleep. Apparantly it can take years before all their teeth appear so watch this space … -

This week Gareth was in India so Molly the Madam spent most of the time crawling around looking for him. She?s also learnt a new trick, every so often, she?ll stop crawling, smile, nods her head like the Churchill dog in the ads then starts crawling again. I was trying to figure out what she was trying to do and my Mum reckons it means ?look at how clever I am, Mummy?. She does look so cute when she?s doing it though.

Whenever we tried to bath her she’d cry her eyes out and Gareth and I would get so worried about her we both ended up in the bath with her (me fully clothed!!!). Of course as soon as we did that the little Madam laughed her little head off. She’s lucky she’s cute! -

This week was Gareth?s birthday. Molly and I bought him some books on Project Management and some blokey Gillette stuff. I drove us down to Dorset and we had a lovely weekend with G?s parents and all the cute fluffy animals. Molly absolutely adores both sets of Grandparents so it was lovely for her to see them ? think they?re just as adoring back as there were lots of cuddles and giggling. We took Molly to the Reading FC victory parade on Bank Holiday Monday (will try and upload the pictures tonight). I had to go so there would be an Irish contingent ? Kevin Doyle their new star player was transferred over from Cork City FC and my Uncle Gerard is their club doctor. Don?t know what he looks like but there was a Tricolour on one of the open topped busses so I got Molly to wave at that. Need to step up the training for the race for life ? am jogging for half an hour as often as I can but will try and get to the gym or do exercise videos as well as do not want to do a Jade Goody and collapse half way round (http://www.sky.com/showbiz/article/0,,50004-1219621,00.html) ? still can?t believe the Sun called her porkey though ? think that was a bit unfair ? she has had 2 babies after all. Anyhow ? talking of marathons, Madame has decided that not only is she going to crawl everywhere (she?s like a whippet ? even if there?s no chocolate involved!) and has started to pull her self up and take little baby steps whilst holding on to either myself, Gareth or the furniture. Both cats are starting to look a bit concerned as before if Molly tried to make a grab for them they could just run off but it won?t be too long before Molly is running after them!

This week was really nice. On Bank Holiday Monday Molly started crawling with real determination. She had seem me put the chocolate buttons that we?d given her for Easter in her Molly-bag so she crawled over to it, found the buttons, opened the packet and had put 4 of them in her mouth before I could do anything to stop her!! Bless her ? she is one clever bear. The rest of the week was quite busy as we were back at work. Molly now either has a bath with me in the evening or has a shower with Gareth in the mornings which she loves (unless she gets water anywhere near her face ? then she gets very indignant). On Friday my driving lesson was cancelled so Molly, Gareth and I spent the evening snuggled up on the sofa watching TV. On Saturday Gareth drove us into Reading to get Molly some new clothes (or her Spring-Summer wardrobe as we?re calling it J? ).Her little legs are so long that 12 to 18 month trousers now look like shorts on her!! Madame was delighted with herself – being pushed around like royalty in her buggy – smiling and waving to her adoring public (she still loves meeting new people) and I did quite well out of it too. Gareth had asked me if I wanted an Easter Egg this year and I?d asked for some make up instead (as my make up and chocolate fund now goes on toys for Molly ? which is exactly how it should be)so he bought me make up but still gave me an Easter Egg last Sunday ? bless. The training has kicked off in earnest for the big race now – I’m going to start going to the gym more often and have arranged to go for runs a couple of times a week with some friends at work. Will also start doing the Davina exercise DVD again at the very least it will give Molly a good laugh!

Happy Easter!! I had Holy Thursday off so Molly and I went in to Reading to meet my friend Anita for lunch. We went to Nando?s in Reading (my favourite restaurant in the whole world), Molly had some of my chips and we bumped in to some of my friends from work so she had great fun playing up to the crowds. Then we went shopping as I needed to buy some make up for work, The consultants at the MAC counter weren?t very helpful so Molly left them a nice little ?present? for them to discover afterwards (chocolate handprints and projecting rusk – lovely). Then we headed off to Theale to "collect" Gareth from work and headed straight up to Warrington to see my Mum, Dad, Grandad and Uncle Michael for Easter. A lovely time was had by all and Madame had some chocolate buttons. She loved being the centre of attention (as always) and adores my Mum and Dad. Every morning when I brought her downstairs for her breakfast (she has weetabix and yoghurt now ? isn?t she very grown up?) she was looking for them and she would give them huge smiles every time they walked in to the room. Molly is a very lucky little baby to have such lovely relations.

This week we went to visit Nan and Grandpa Guest down in Dorset. I drove all the way down which was great fun and a very good experience for me as my driving test is on the 8 th of May. Gareth and Molly gave me some lovely Mother’s day cards and presents – a pink cardy and black and white stripy shirt from Next. I signed up to do the race for life in Reading – I ‘ve managed to raise ?100 now – it’s for Cancer Research UK – it’s a really good cause and it will also enable me to do something nice for the local community. Our local football team, Reading FC, have won promotion to the Premiership so we will take Molly to the victory parade. Molly is being such a little pet at the moment – all smiles and cuddles. -

This week poor Molly had an ear infection. It was bacterial this time so she had to have some antibiotics. She?s such a brave little bear. I knew something was wrong when I called George to check in and I could hear Molly crying her eyes out in the background. George said that she had been unhappy all day and that she wasn?t eating and drinking. I made an appointment at the doctor?s for her that afternoon and Gareth and I both rushed home to see her. When I got back G had already taken her to the docs and she looked all sad and snuffley. Apparently she liked having a nosey around the poor doctor?s office but threw a massive hissy fit when she tried to examine her. She looked really sorry for herself but as soon as I picked her up she gave me a huge smile and then fed like her life depended on it. As soon as she?s been fed and had her medicine she settled down, snuggled up to me and fell fast asleep. We cancelled all our plans for the weekend and spent it snuggled up at home cuddling Molly and watching DVD?s. Molly particully liked the new Wallace & Gromit film as she has a cuddly Gromit that was given to her by her Uncle Baz.

This week Molly went to JJ’s again (as you can see from the photo she really loves the ball pool!!!) and is now fully recovered from her ear infection. We went up to Warrington to see my Mum, Dad, Grandad and Jen and had a fantastic time. Molly loved being the centre of attention (as usual) and was smiling and blowing kisses at everyone. I had the previous Friday off work so? Molly and I went in to Reading and Theale to have lunch with my friend Anita and then?"collected" G from work.?Molly was like the queen meeting her adoring public when we went into the office, smiling and saying "da da" at Gareth so he was as proud as punch.? -

Molly has rediscovered football this week. I say re-discovered because when she was known as Bumpette Gareth and I used to joke that she could kick for both England and Ireland!! She likes watching the World Cup on TV – think she’s facinated by the ball and why there are all those silly men running around after it. It’s also been really warm over here so Molly has been spending lots of time in her garden overseeing my efforts at gardening 🙂 Gareth took us out for a drive on Sunday so we could escape the football for a while which was very nice. -
