First you have to tell us how you know you have a Trojan virus. It appears that you’re using some kind of AV software since you mention it doesn’t go into quarantine. What virus does it say you have? It would also help to mention what OS you’re using.

The fact that you know you are infected indicates that you must be getting notification from some sort of Antivirus software — that’s good.
If you can identify the name of the virus, go to the web site of an antivirus software vendor such as:
http://www.nai.com
http://www.antivirus.comThese sites will have a link to a library of information about viruses and worms.
Go to the library and look up your specific infector — there should be manual removal instructions there.
I hope you’re on Windows 2000 or XP, as these make it much easier. You can bring up Task Manager (right-click the task bar and click Task Manager or ctrl+alt+del and click the Task Manager button) and find the worm’s process on the process tab and kill it.
Once the process is killed, you can delete the offending file.
After this, most worms will run by putting an entry into the registry key
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run hive. One additional reason your antivirus software may not be cleaning the worm you have is that it may be out of date. Try updating it. If that doesn’t work, uninstall your antivirus software and download AVG antivirus free version from
http://www.grisoft.com
Install it and run a scan. These steps applied in combination should put you on your way to solving your problem.
