VPN from a 2000 Pro Machine

By mmgrady ·
Hey,

I am having trouble with a 2000 Pro Machine in connecting to a VPN. I have verified with three other machines, (2000 Server, XP Pro, & 9 that nothing is causing issues from the network. All but the server is using DHCP.
When I try to connect, I get the message verifing username and password. It then will timeout without connecting. The server on the other side reports a successfull connection. What can I do?

Technology is a great thing...except when it doesn't work. To make it work, please backup your 2000 Pro machine that does not work. Then make a GHOST image of the working 2000 PRO machine and process that image to be on the non working machine. Now,you have two identical machines "software and hardware". This should solve your problem.

I can not ghost the machine since they have the same operating system, and are software configured the same, but hardware is radically different.
