If I understand correctly, your aim is to create imagefiles from floppydisks, so you can archive them on CDrom, so you can make new floppydisks from the images if the need arises.
I use a small freeware tool (200 KB download) called Rawwritewin. Google this and you will find a place to obtain it. It's very easy to use, good luck.

Hey, First Run the Nero Smart start application and select the file or image to write on to CD.
Choose the option Disk image or saved project option and it will ask for path of the image file here u must choose Image files ( scroll the list of file formats) (*.nrg,*.iso,*.cue)file type from the source path. Then if you have real iso file on the disk it will dispaly the extension. You can select the image to be burn on to CD.

My mail personal mail id is : murari_ever@yahoo.com. If u still have any problem ask me will send a snaps how to burn.

Thanks

WinImage creates selfextracting floppy drive images. Simply create all your floppy images and then burn then to a cd for storage.
