$250 of fiction books

by JamesRL In reply to What would you buy with y ...

I figure that since I am told often enough to "Get a life", that if I won, I would try to cultivate somethings outside of technology.

Actually I do have lots of interests, including classical music(performer), history, reading etc. Wouldn't be difficult to spend.

Fiction

by M_a_r_k In reply to $250 of fiction books

You can read a helluva lot of fiction in TR's Miscellaneous forum for FREE. I wonder if I'll have to pay taxes on this little prize after I win it. That will knock the total amount down to an even easier to spend sum of around $200.

In Canada, no tax on winnings

by JamesRL In reply to Fiction

It all started when Canada started a lottery to help pay for the 76 Olympics in Montreal. Because it was a government sponsored lottery, they decided to make all lottery winnings non taxable.

So it means more to me than you....

That ain't fair. If you win, you can send me $50 to make up for the differences in the tax.

Although I am not eligible to win, I would have to sock away the $250 as a downpayment on an XBOX 360 and a couple of games (Burnout Revenge and NHL 2K6).
