Where does J# fit in the .NET world?

By MaryWeilage Editor ·
In this week's .NET e-newsletter, author Tony Patton examines the J# programming language, the many associated Microsoft tools, and where J# fits in the .NET world. Do you use C# or J#? What are your predictions for J# for the future?

J# is Pointless

by programmeroo In reply to Where does J# fit in the ...

J# isn't quite Java, C++ or C#. Hmmm. It just gives young programmers another excuse to avoid learning C++ and C#.

I'm glad Microsoft abandoned the JVM. It is painfully slow, and has so many little irritating problems.

I think Microsoft should have spent the effort to make C# binary compatible with Solaris, instead of creating a dead-end language, which BTW, confuses our clients.
