win not shutting down

By smprficb ·
I have a system that I was told once had the "run" virus which I am not familiar with. supposedly whatever problems occurred were resolved. Now windows wont shut down properly it can only be done manually on the tower. also, I have been having mousetroubles. sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. I have already tried 3 different mouses or mice or whatever.any ideas?

The first thing you have to do is back up your datas (Infected and not infected). If you run Windows 9x, you can check the system properties (you can access form control panel), you'll able to see if there is a problem with your hardware system, theproblem marked with Question symbol. Check the hardware plug and try to reinstall the driver. This problem probably cause your windows won't shutdown.
