Win XP Drivers

I have a Packard bell PIII 800, 20gb, 128mb Win ME. I have a recovery disk for the graphics, audio etc with Win ME.
I want to install Win XP but this means trying to find all the drivers for the hardware. Is the net best place to find these and firstly before i wipe ME will i definately be able to find the drivers?
Please help

Hello John,

XP may have all the drivers you need built in, or as part of Windows Update.

Start by going to PCPitStop, and running the XP readiness test on your system.
http://www.pcpitstop.com/xpready/default.asp

Then, go to www.belarc.comand run a Belarc Advisor report to get a detailed list of the hardware in your system.

Download the drivers for any devices identified as concerns by the PCPitStop test.

Be aware, that many devices while supported in XP have limited functions enabled.
Check your soundcard, printer, and scanner closely.
