Win2K Shutdown Problem

By dwayne.sealy@caribsurf. ·
I am running Win2K Pro on an IBM ThinkPad 770Z PII/366 with 128MB RAM etc, etc, my problem is that whenever I shut down Win2K (whether it is a shut down or restart) the system goes to a blank screen and stays there. Pressing the power button does nothing, so I have to resort to removing the battery and power supply.

I suspect that it is McAfee VirusScan 4.03 which has been given the OK to run on Win2K (subject to correction).

Any ideas??

Win2K Shutdown Problem

I was having the same issue, so I decided to rebuild my laptop (HP Omnibook 4150). I tested each piece of software after the install. I found that after installing Media Player 7 my laptop would no longer shutdown. I uninstalled MP7 and then it would shutdown. Since then I am sticking with Media Player 6.
