Windows 2003 DHCP Server, multiple network cards, dhcping to only 1 card

By jpalmerbean ·
Hi All,

I have a 2003 Server with 4 network cards in it and also installed 4 virtual machines. We got a minisan that connects via IP. It's supposed to be just put on the network, but we want to hook it up to the server with a x-over cable. The problem is, you can't set the IP Address on minisan, it has to be gotten from DHCP.

I'm wondering if it's possible to add the DHCP to one of the virtual machines and only have it give out addresses to ONE NIC card? Is this possible?? Then we could hook up the minisan to this network card, it would get an ip from the server (and it wouldn't interupt any other addresses from the network), and then we could connect to it.

I appreciate any answers/thoughts/ideas. Thanks!
