    Windows XP tree command into Word

    Hmmmm … all I get is a msg ‘tree.rtf is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.’

    Any advice? Thanks!

        tree.rtf just tree.
        to create an output file that can be read by word type in the following command.

        tree > anyname.doc (or .rtf)

        locate the file on your computer, open the file you will probably see a small window with the following message “select the encoding to make your document readable” choose the second option “MS-DOS” click OK
        and there you go ….
