I have a rar file that gives an error message that there are no files to extract.

The file is several hundred megabytes large and I can see the files in the winrar application.

Can I repair the rar?

If broken files

by surya kumar In reply to Winrar can't extract file ...

Right click on the RAR files and from the list, click on the extract files option.
A window will appear showing where a folder can be selected and where it may be saved.
Choose the check box which gives the option ‘Open Broken file’.
Click OK at the bottom of the window.
A warning will pop up but it should be disregarded at this point.
Once this procedure is carried out, it will be possible to see files that were able to be extracted by WinRAR. or else try those recovery tools.
