wireless signal with no internet

By bmay ·
Ok. I hope this is an easy answer because I'm been trying to figure this out for 3 hours now. Got a Netgear WGR614v2 wireless router. It is plugged into my company's LAN. I gets connected wirelessly with an excellent signal but I can't pull a webpage. I plugged in a Belkin wireless router to the same LAN port and can surf no problem. I changed the settings on the netgear from obtaining an IP automatically and hardcoded a static IP. No go. I can also connect to another router (d-link) here on rpoperty so it's not my laptop/wireless card/etc. I'm 99 positive it's something with the netgear router. Any ideas?

network/NT admin handle installing that device. If this install goes wrong you can take down the network! It depends on how your DHCP is running, and what port you are plugging it into (the device)

Let the IT Dept handle it. Which leads me to ask, are you doing this without permission? Because, again like TK says, not only could you bring down the network, you could end up in the unemployment line.
