workspace, pulling TQ&A’s
Lockedby jdclyde · about 18 years, 3 months ago
Why isn’t there a button in the TQ&A’a to add them to your workspace?
Some Q&A’s have great information that would be great to keep track of without having to copy and paste it into a word document and Workspace seems like the perfect place for it?
oh sure, there is the manual way of adding in, but you made the mistake of giving me one-stop-shopping somewhere else, so I now expect it everywhere! 😀

But I know exactly what you mean there is a wealth of good info in the Q & A section and it’s not the easiest thing to navigate or search is it? 🙂
I suppose that I’ve just got used to added things of interest to my links so the My Workspace isn’t something that I’ve had much to do with yet.

My wife would love you as she just loves that ”Little Black Duck. :^O
I’ll have to show her this and hopefully it will get her off my back for bending her car, she’s still rubbing it in a week latter now and refusing to use any other car and walking everywhere or catching cabs. She will not even touch any of the 4 doors Mercedes that are here all she wants is her 2 door back before I bent it. 🙁

That’s a great point. We’ll get on that ASAP (but it’s December, so that could be a little while–lousy holidays).

In reply to THANKS!
Don’t go putting ideas like weekends off to Jay he’ll begin to act like upper management and only show up when he wants something. :p
Don’t ask Demand it now and don’t let up till you’ve got what it is you want, Jay just loves a bit of a challenge and if you offer some encouragement with a Cat of 9 tails made out of CAT5E cable he’ll really appreciate it. :^O
After all in your neck of the woods it’s only 5-12-05 so there are 20 days to get it worked out and perfected. 😀

12-05-05 is the PROPER way to record a date in December! didn’t they teach you ANYTHING? ;\And I agree, two weeks is MORE than enough time? It isn’t like they do anything but play with their air bazookas all day waiting for me to come up with an idea?

But remember I live in a different country where we spell real English and actually spell Colour right instead of the way that the English Language has been bast####ied by the US people. :p
While it might be right for you being dated 12-5-05 over here it is done 5-12-05 just change the regional settings in Windows and see how the dates come out. :^O
I can’t help it if all you Yanks are arse about face. 😀

In reply to Col,
Isn’t it interesting how different countries which share the same language do things differently? 🙂
We have a small stretch of water between us and a vast gulf in the same language. :^O
Anyway as a Mechanical Engineer I can go into great detail about the advantages and disadvantages of Front Wheel Drive vs Rear Wheel Drive. Do you want me to bore the pants off you with an explanation. :p

In reply to Col,
I’ll stick with all wheel drive. >:)
a car I’m working on has an electric motor driving each wheel independently. 😛
also going to use magnetic braking.
[ newly designed by a Canuck for the eagle land speed record vehicle being built by a mixed Canadian and American team. [ actually using Chuck Yeager’s favorite test F-104 jet airframe as body of the car ] the brakes work by generating an electromagnetic field in a disk on the wheel by pushing a magnet close to it. ]jd, if every other english speaking country puts the u in, then it’s pretty obvious, that it’s the us that isn’t actually doing it right. 😛
is this from a systematic discrimination by the us against the letter u? I think so.
either discrimination or just to lazy to learn to spell correctly. 😛 -

In reply to Col,
With that type of regenerative braking there is a lot of unsprung weight that while OK for a Land Speed Record vehicle would make that setup unsatisfactory for a road car.
Actually Dr Porsche used something similar on the big electrical powered transporters field guns used in WW11. In that particular incidence that was not a problem owing to the weight of the gun carriages and Ammo Waggons involved. The slow speed also helped this no end either. :p

much easier to work with dates if you can organize by the month, THEN the date! (I guess concepts like that would be unknown waaaaaay over there?) :p
You can Jaq can KEEP your redundant “U”. We will even send U all the extra ones we won’t be needing! B-)
