Would you answer this for 2 points?

By robbinsr ·
Can someone please inform me of why their are a majority of users who feel the need to be stingy on the points. I hold on to my points in order to tempt a person into taking on my situation and possibly solving it, but when you see a question with 0 - 20 points offered. Thats a joke. You get points for answering polls. Can you answer a couple polls to knock your points up to at least 25? Personally I feel thats still an insult, but its better than 1 point.

Since the questions are sometimes more interesting than the answers, I might very well answer a two-point question. You never know where a wild goose may land, or what you learn while chasing it.

Smile - people will wonder what you are up to.

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried Piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway, it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement, he quieteddown. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw. With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer'sneighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off! Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds ofdirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up!

I have noticed this exact question has been posted, but I like the reaction. I've also decided to put in a couple more points for every comment that humors me. Yes, I do like to come on here and answer questions, but I also like to here others opinions.

Hi robbinsr - If the wording of a 2 point question confirmed that the posting party was a novice I would surely answer to help a newbie.
But by far the biggest cheat on the board is when a poster gets several good replies then rejects them all to save points.
By the way, are you going to award points to all answers, or to just the ones that humor you. How much for a donkey wittisism?

Would you answer this for 2 points?

My favorite was when I answered a question first. Another person came and posted (TWICE) that my answer was correct. The person closed the question splitting the points between the 3 posts. Not a big deal, I really don't care about the points, but when the person they says "Me too!" gets twice as many points than the person who answers the question correctly, there's something wrong.

When it comes to a few points, I usually rib the person about being stingy, but answer it anyway. If it's 0 points, I don't even bother looking at it unless the subject interests me. Points aren't important, but that just seems insulting.
