Zombies Vs Werewolves, Who would win?
Lockedby slayer_ · about 13 years, 1 month ago
Personally, I am for Zombies, if we follow the traditional zombie apocalypse, getting bit by a zombie turns you into a zombie. And traditional Werewolf says getting bit by a werewolf turns you into one.
So a Zombie werewolf or a Werewolf zombie.
Advantage to zombies though, cause they don’t require a full moon. What do you guys think?

First, I need to know… which zombie rules are we going by?

Most pertinently : does ingesting zombie bits turn you into a zombie?
Can you say “zombie werewolves”?
Alternatively, if only silver can pierce a werewolf’s pelt, then that’s another important thing to consider…-

I don’t think eating a zombie would turn you into a zombie

In reply to First, I need to know… which zombie rules are we going by?
Though if it did, that would definitely be advantage to the zombies.
I have never seen a sci fi where the Werewolf was ONLY vulnerable to silver. Most Sci Fi’s has the wolf die if it is injured bad enough. At least that is the pattern I noticed.
Even if they were invulnerable to everything but silver (so Zombie rappers with silver teeth can kill a were wolf??? lol) they would eventually starve to death if they could not eat the zombie. That is of course assuming they could not find food in human form.

I decided for zombies.
They have their weaknesses, but eventually they’ll get lucky enough to find a werewolf to swarm, and after that they’ll have the werewolf-zombie on their side, can you say Varkolak? -

A thought though, a Werewolf zombie would still be a rotting corpse
by slayer_ · about 13 years, 1 month ago
In reply to Yeah…
Most zombies are squishy by nature, they are rotten dead bodies.
Such a werewolf zombie would probably lose its claws very quickly. Also, what kind of disposition would a werewolf zombie have? A zombie is a mindless creature hunting for food, a werewolf is a primitive mind looking for food. If the werewolf became mindless, would it even know how to use its natural weapons?
Of course, if we went resident evil style apocalypse, then the birds would kill off the werewolves very quickly.
Zombie by day, werewolf by moon light, 🙂

the mindless werzombwolf would manage as well as the mindless zombies.
They use their fingernails and teeth just fine, far as I recall.
Also, consider this: a zombie is often much stronger than it was when alive… that’d probably go for the werzombwolf, too. It’d be … quite strong then.

Zombies move slow, and have normal human teeth
by robo_dev · about 13 years, 1 month ago
In reply to Zombies Vs Werewolves, Who would win?
While werewolves, when not playing basketball (e.g. movie Teen Wolf, starring Michael J Fox), would present a potent force. Being a carnivore with sharp teeth and claws would be a considerable advantage against slow moving zombies.
If, however, the Werewolves who killed Zombies were turned into Zombie-Wolfs by exposing themselves to whatever disease caused the Zombie-ism, this would tend to turn the tide towards the Zombies, as the Zombie-Wolf hybrids would be able to lure and kill unsuspecting Werewolves.
A successful tactic might be for the Zombies to use an attractive female Zombie-Wolf hybrid to lure unsuspecting male Werewolves to their doom.
Assuming that Werewolves would get infected, then the Werewolves would need to adapt by devising alternate ways to kill Zombies (e.g. pushing them off buildings versus dismembering them) or take appropriate precautions from contact with the bodily fluids of the Zombies (e.g. protective gloves/eye protection/surgical masks).

And also how they gleefully forgo their natural weaponry for, say, the elevator and defenestration method, or using harvesters or similar vehicles 😉-

Need more research lol
by tink! · about 13 years, 1 month ago
In reply to Zombies Vs Werewolves, Who would win?
Zombies are traditionally made via some infectious bacteria or virus, therefore ingesting their flesh should logically infect whatever ingested it, just as getting zombie blood in your eye, mouth or other mucus membrane also affects you.
Modern werewolves are created via another type of infectious transferrence. So if a werewolf were to be infected with Zombie virus would the two viruses co-exist or would one overpower the other?
– If the werewolf virus overpowers the zombie virus, then werewolves would be immune and thusly more likely to wipe out zombies. (this is assuming, of course, that the werewolf virus cannot affect zombie flesh because it’s cellular structure is technically not alive)
– If the zombie virus overpowers the werewolf infection than that raises a couple other questions
Would the zombie werewolf even change into zombie human form when the full moon wanes? After all, the werewolf infection works with live flesh, it’s not designed for dead flesh. (or is it? – who wants to test it?) Likewise if a werewolf is zombified whilst in human form, will it change into a zombie werewolf come full moon?Quite an interesting question I must say. Thanks for asking it. 🙂

Some modern werewolves were immune to disease
by slayer_ · about 13 years, 1 month ago
In reply to Need more research lol
If that were the case, in their wolf form, they would be pretty much invincible to the zombies unless they got pinned down and dragged into a hoard of zombies.
But in human form, they could be Zombified, and would likely lose their werewolfness because that is a living disease. In such a case, if the humans were smart enough. They could possibly survive, perhaps in water or something on a boat, and only going to shore in wolf form.

that if the modern werewolf is immune to disease, its human counterpart should be as well because the same blood is running through the veins.
Just a thought.

In reply to sorry to dredge up an older post, but I was thinking
If that were the case, no werewolf could be turned into a zombie, they could only be eaten alive.
So chances are, werewolves would be physically unstoppable, but they would probably starve to death, or be killed in their human form.

In numbers, the Zombies have a head start, just realize how many zombies we have in the forums on TR alone. And I’m sure you can find them in other places, as well.
However, lately it’s become so hard to find your way around TR, that most of us regulars, at least temporarily, unwillingly have become wherewolfs 🙂

Zombies > Werewolves

Personally, I think werewolves are more awesome, but I believe zombies would overpower werewolves after time. Zombies seem to multiply faster and werewolves don’t. Also, like you said, werewolves need a full moon, whereas zombies don’t.

If we considered "underworld" style werewolves, then the wolves would win
by slayer_ · about 13 years, 1 month ago
In reply to Zombies Vs Werewolves, Who would win?
Hands down effortless. As they could go wolf whenever they needed and would be fully or partially aware of what they are doing. The zombies would be slaughtered quickly, surviving zombies could be quickly dealt with as needed by the general werewolf population.

I have to go with
by tigger_two · about 13 years, 1 month ago
In reply to Zombies Vs Werewolves, Who would win?
The zombies. They’re everywhere.
Not being limited by lunar occurrence seems to me to be the real strength here. The werewolves being limited in their awesomeness by a 28 day cycle reduces their effectiveness.
Truthfully though, the question seems to need clarification to really advance a considered opinion. We would need to agree on the strengths and weaknesses of each. DOES it require a silver bullet to kill a werewolf? Do zombies have any natural predators? Are we including in the zombie population the old, dead threads that get woken up and re-agitated here?

What would be a natural predators for a zombie?
by slayer_ · about 13 years, 1 month ago
In reply to I have to go with
Maybe another zombie, a bigger zombie?
Few modern werewolves that I have seen require a silver bullet, its just the easiest way. Just like stabbing a vampire in the heart with a wooden pike kills them, so does chopping off their head and burning it.

Ansu, my cats would have no problem

In reply to Zombies Vs Werewolves, Who would win?
With treating Cujo like a kitty toy- here today, flushed down the catbox tomorrow.
Besides, Cujo at the height of insanity had no clue what drove him to do the things he did. Cujo was insane.
Here’s where I see the werewolves gaining an advantage…
While the time frame for a werewolf to transform and act (the rules according to Hoyle) is limited, the intellect of the animal is NOT limited. On the other hand, the cranial capacity of a zombie rapidly descends to “soup” regardless of their infectious ability. A classic case of “use it or lose it” as far as I can see.
I would have to remove Cujo from my critical thinking on this issue… But love a new perspective.

Proper tea
by tigger_two · about 13 years, 1 month ago
In reply to I prefer my tea…
You need a decent teapot, boiling water, tea leaves, and an infuser. Generally, 1 tablespoon of tea leaves to each 6 oz cup. Infuse for 3 minutes at a minimum by pouring boiling water over the infuser, putting the lid on your teapot, and (if desired) popping on the tea cozy. Yes, I really DO own a tea cozy.
A proper teapot needs a spout that draws from the bottom and a small hole in the lid. Anything that doesn’t fit that description won’t make a decent cup of tea.
