how to connect a network printer over vpn

I want to print documents using my office "network printer" from home. I want to use vpn but what I know about vpns is that I need to download the software on both side. let's say OfficePC and HomePC. but how to do it for printers. thx

That's something to discuss with the company's IT support. If they support "work from home" (very common nowadays) they might support "print from home" also.

I doubt if the OfficePC is relevant. Most likely you need the OfficeServer and/or the OfficeNetwork and/or the OfficeActiveDirectory and surely a VPN solution they support.

Until our office sorted this out I printed to a PDF then printed the PDF at home.
