Web Development

Question

Virtual Tokens

By Imisi ·
I'm very new to coding and I'm also a writer in my spare moments. I have my own website where I upload articles. I want to start uploading chapters of my books as I write them. Where I have a problem is that I want to gift visitors tokens(virtual coins) for visiting my website. This coins can then be used to read chapter of my book.
How do I go about this?

Re: tokens

That certainly needs a lot of programming on your server, to make and sell the tokens, to require them for reading a chapter and make them invalid again when used.

If you feel you can't do that yourself, ask a few developers (freelancers or companies) how much it would cost.

Either you start learning implementing a webshop (for tokens) and programming a web server yourself, or you start with finding a few freelancers or companies.

Writing dot com has such and as Kees noted, you have choices to make now.

Either take the time to build your skills or look at upwork dot com and similar sites. Another way would be to add staff. Some folk will join your team for reasons such as being credited as a "web master at someplace dot com."

Frankly I think this may be a legal nightmare in the works as you may omit speaking to your lawyer. I'm reading:

My advice is to stick to the currency in your country.
