Problems Using Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant for Access?

By mujeeburahmanmu30 ·
I'm having an issue with Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant for Access and I'm hoping someone can tell me what the problem is. I have an MS Access 2019 database that I'm trying to migrate to SQL Server using this tool and it seems to be having a problem reading the tables and such. It gets hung up while trying to read them and I can't even get to the stage where it allows me to select the tables and queries. This is the first time this has happened. I've used this tool before with any prob https://100001.onl/ lems. I even tried it using a different database and had the same issue. It is an Access 2019 database 64 bit and I am running Windows 10 64 bit. Any help you can provide is appreciated.

- Did you install the right version from https://www.google.com/search?&q=%22Microsoft+SQL+Server+Migration+Assistant+for+Access%22+hangs
- Does your system meet all system requirements mentioned that page?

If necessary see if any hit from https://www.google.com/search?q=%22Microsoft+SQL+Server+Migration+Assistant+for+Access%22+hangs helps you find the cause and the solution.

Also please see https://www.techrepublic.com/index.php/forums/discussions/problems-using-microsoft-sql-server-migration-assistant-for-access/ .

Isn't it curious your post is identical to that post from July from fellow member vscurtis?
Isn't it even more curious that another member from the same IP address as yours also copied an old post today, making it look like it was a new problem?

I'm locking this thread and the other one, but I would appreciate if you could explain the reason for your strange behaviour in a new thread.
