With over 10,000 employees and operations in more than 100 countries, SUEZ Water Technologies & Solutions already had a sizable remote workforce and field service team prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Even so, the company needed to rapidly scale its digital capabilities when the virus outbreak triggered global shutdowns. In this exclusive CXO Insider interview, Carlos Sanchez, CIO for SUEZ WTS, talks with TechRepublic's Karen Roby about how the company was able to rapidly scale its existing cloud infrastructure and IT systems to meet the challenge of a rapid increase in remote workers. Sanchez also shares his thoughts on how many of the processes that were started during the pandemic will become permanent and what effect this will have on IT hiring and management.
