A Tribute to Joe Rosberg aka Maxwell Edison

I’m sorry to say that our friend, Joe Rosberg, aka Maxwell Edison, has passed on, unexpectedly.**66&fhid=11267

Joe and I exchanged many emails over the past few years and I got to know him quite well through them. He was an avid music lover, excellent writer and had a great sense of humor. I will miss him very much.

Joe/Maxwell challenged our long-held political beliefs (I’m sure you all remember). Sometimes, we got stabbed too, ouch, but he really was a person that understood the intentions of our founding fathers and his views never strayed from those intentions. He was a very principled man and I greatly admired him for that. He sure opened my eyes to a lot of things.

His service to our country and the leadership he offered to many young men in the Boy Scouts is representative of what a good and kind man he was. He practiced what he preached. There are few among us that have lived such an exemplary life.

I hope Joe is at peace now. I will cherish the memories I have of him.

Unfortunate accident

He had been working on his beloved 87 Chevy Silverado when the jack slipped. You had a similar accident, Col, but survived it by the grace of God. We never know when it's our time. And what that means is that we enjoy and appreciate our time and the people in our lives while we're here. Thank you all for being a part of my extended family.

Thanks Sonja

What happened to Joe was very tragic. No, none of us know when our time is up.

I'm glad you reposted the thread to the community so that, hopefully, more people that remember him will see it. He was a great guy.

Very sad to hear ... and a memory about Joe

by jasonhiner Moderator In reply to A Tribute to Joe Rosberg ...

He was a terrific guy. I have fond memories of conversations with him. The thing I remember the most was when we invited him to write articles for TR and he decided to use his real name rather than his "Maxwell Edison" forum name. He really went back and forth about it and it took him about two weeks to decide because he felt like Maxwell Edison had a certain persona and he wanted to be a little bit more thoughtful and reserved in his official writing. He wrote very well and many of his articles will live on and continue to help people. RIP.
