I'm not much help, but

I believe you can contact MS at no charge for problems with Windows updates. Check their updates web page for how to submit an e-mail or even (gasp!) an 800 number.

Is SP2 installed properly?

by NickNielsen In reply to windows updates are drivi ...

If I didn't know better, I'd say that looks like everything released since Service Pack 2.

You may have a prerequisite update that did not install properly and is preventing subsequent updates from installing, Reinstalling that would hopefully fix your problem and allow the rest to install. Check your update history to see which update last installed successfully. Manually reinstall that update and the next update in sequence, then try the automatic update again.

Download Belarc Advisor - its free & will give you a true picture of status

by sleepin'dawg In reply to windows updates are drivi ...

This is a handy little tool to give you a complete picture of your computers setup; what's properly installed and what needs to be taken care of. Its a freebie and does not violate your security and/or privacy in any manner. It updates itself every time it's accessed. I've been using it for a few years now without any problems or comebacks.

There is a "BUG" in (KB873339)

by pup026 In reply to windows updates are drivi ...

I have uninstalled the "873339" update...There is
definately a bug in this update
Go to start click CONTROL PANEL then click ADD or REMOVE than put a thick in show updates and remove
update (KB873339). it shows you that some updates or programs wil be affected "egnore this"
When removed go to win update and clik Iwill choose update
choose them all exept "KB87339"
and whalla' all done
PS>.
If you get automatic update always leve out the above update. IT WORKED FOR ME
