My Skill areas:
After some 10 years in development roles and 3 years international software Project Management experience, I now specialise in Quality Assurance and Process Improvement supporting other people's software projects.
My Background is broad and technical -I've had fun:
I've worked in software from user requirements to system testing, network management to user and application support. I coded COBOL for MVS mainframes, worked on UNIX and VMS implementations, setup software on Netware servers for 10,000+ students to hot-desk, made CAD work over a network before it was designed to, and configured early multimedia workstations from bits. I even wrote an academic paper about the internet in 1992!
Past employers have been a financial services company, a semiconductor and consumer electronics corporate, a higher education college, and an international software house's R&D centre.
Add to that mix some other work on IEEE standards and lecturing on undergraduate and post graduate professional computing courses.
