old timer 8080's Profile
Grew up in Silicon Valley. Worked for AMD, Data General and Cromemco. Owned microcomputers before they became PC ( both types, Politically Correct and Personal Computers. 8-).. ) I became a CRAY-on in the early 80s. Part of the design team for the X and Y MP systems. When Cray Research DE-EMPHASIZED Research, I learned networking. The innards to TCP/IP, ETHERNET and System Administration. I dealt with many microprocessor solutions at that time. \ Interoperated many systems. Many *NIX O/S implementations. \ Worked with the rise of MS products. Worked at a Solutions Provider on the first NT based systems. Watched as NT ( and MS ) has degenerated. \ I have done stints in Robotic Design, Energy Cell design and various support positions. I have held management positions as well as running a Lab.
