swgoldwire2546's Profile
Early on in my youth, computers did not strike my fancy much. It was only in third grade that I had my first experience with a computer--a Commodore 64 species. I would practice typing, and even play educational games on the Commodore. \ \ In junior high school(second half of primary school), I experienced the spread sheet and simple BASIC programming on one of the old-school species of the early 1980s, the Radio Shack series. \ \ In high school(secondary school)I worked on IBM compatible personal computers. I got to do some more programming using QuickBASIC (qbasic for short) and first experience Microsoft Windows. I got to work on some Windows machines and applications like FoxPro, while interning at the MTA New York City Transit during my senior year. \ \ In 2000, I bought my first personal computer, and, wanted to see what is like on the inside, I started taking it apart, experimenting with computer upgrades until later today I am buying computer upgrades for my project computer. I hope one day to become A+ Certified and Network+ Certified and start my own business. Speaking of such, I am starting my own graphics design business from scratch and gradually build on that using computers, hence the name Troy-Rockaway Avenues Graphix, which comes from dwelling at Troy Avenue and Rockaway Avenue in Brooklyn, NY.
