Bio: Cry havoc, and let loose the dogs of INFOSEC! A veteran (or is that survivor?) of the information security industry. Raised by Uncle Sam and disciplined in the arts of information and communication security; this has ultimately lead to a project based life. My projects normally involve designing security solutions for various clients ranging from the private sector and Dept. of Defense, U.S. Federal and State government. \ \ My disciplines range from end-user desktop and infrastructure implementations to audit and evaluation of information systems. ISO 17799, SOX, GBLA, FISMA, HIPPA, DITSCAP, IATF and NIST SP-800?s make up a steady diet that keeps me the geek I am today. Yes geek ? that?s big ?G? double ?e? ?k?. Geeks get the ladies ?why you ask? The free tech support. Everyone loves a geek, oh yes ? they do. \ \ I have held many career titles and roles ranging for network security engineer and security architect to having been a librarian (don?t ask ? I?m just now finishing up therapy on that issue) and information security project manager. \ \ However with all of these titles and roles that I have held I prefer to just be called Ed. Not Eddie. Not Eduardo. And for the love of all that is holy, not Mister Ed (again, therapy is expensive and children can be so, cruel. Isn?t that right Wilbur?). \ \ Major projects have included various infrastructure design, implementation and maintaining networks; formal information security program for a national critical infrastructure and of course my major lifetime project ? being a father to my daughters. \ \ Currently I'm on assignment with a client in the Columbus, Ohio area. This is my wife's third state since she's decided to join me \"on site\". \ \ When not on a project, my wife, neurotic daschund ?Waddles? and I call Eastern North Carolina home. My interests include all things IT related, reading the latest security advisory, security conferences & seminars, traveling and perfecting my Cheesesteak-Fu.
