Essex Aggie was under increasing pressure to allow faculty and student-owned devices on its campus network. Their challenges are they want to expand network access to faculty and student-owned devices, ensure comprehensive network security across the wired and wireless networks and automate network security to ensure that only authorized users access the network and that all endpoint devices meet compliance requirements. They chose Cisco to overcome these challenges. They deployed to network sentry, Network Access Control (NAC) software from Bradford Networks. The results of deploying the Bradford Networks were automatically identifies users and devices while ensuring security compliance, rapid deployment - network sentry was up and running in just two days, and it reduced to invest in school-owned devices.
