Entel is one of Chile's leading IT and telecommunications service providers. The company has a network of six data centers in Chile and Peru and a total of 4700 employees. Their challenges are they need to increase profitability by minimizing operating and capital costs, build foundation to offer new cloud services, and grow by quickly capturing market share for cloud services. They chose Cisco to overcome these challenges. They implemented scalable cloud platform using FlexPod pre-integrated infrastructure, to managed all infrastructure components from one interface, and provide customer self-service portal using Cisco UCS Director. The results of implementing the Cisco were reduced time to provision virtual machines, it supported 50% more customers without increasing IT staff, and IT staff take more time to focus on activities.
