Digiweb Helps Customers Continue Operations Despite Christchurch Earthquake Devastation

Founded in 1997, the Digiweb Group provides hosting, domain name registrar and payment gateway services to businesses in New Zealand. They wanted to provide customers with a highly redundant and resilient environment that would enable customer services to continue following a disaster such as the earthquakes of late 2010 and 2011 in Christchurch, New Zealand. They choose VMware to overcome these challenges. VMware virtualization enabled Digiweb to ensure business continuity and recovery across its own infrastructure and virtualize customer environments so operations could continue following the earthquakes. The results of deploying VMware were maintained uninterrupted customer services during and after earthquakes and consolidated three racks of servers down to half a rack.
