The university was founded in 1996 and is comprised of six faculties, five institutes, five professional and three vocational schools, which together constitute 25,000 students and 1,000 academics. Their challenges are to upgrade its existing Fujitsu IT environment and replace it with a more powerful, agile platform that would enable research to be completed more quickly. They chose Fujitsu to overcome these challenges. They have deployed a combination of Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers and Fujitsu ETERNUS storage for a flexible, high-performing and cost-effective computing infrastructure. The results of implementing Fujitsu were institutions, academics and students in need of powerful resources for research and development projects can manage their own servers, applications no longer need to be installed on each individual server, saving time and the system enables many users to access the same source at the same time, while virtual servers can be created in an instant when needed.
