Like many IT organizations, Cisco IT needs to support changing work styles, especially the use of employee-owned devices for work. Their challenges are lower desktop Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), protect intellectual property contained on desktops and accelerate on-boarding of new employees and partners. They chose Cisco to overcome these challenges. They implement Implemented Cisco unified workspace strategy, first building a 2000-user Cisco Virtualization Experience Infrastructure (VXI) pod and refreshed aging laptop fleet at offshore extranet partner's site with Cisco Virtualization Experience Client (VXC) endpoints. The result of implementing reduced desktop costs, accelerated on-boarding of new employees from 5-10 days to less than 1 day, and as little as 15 minutes.
