KBC WES Safeguards Staff at Chicago Hospital
An established and well-respected hospital, the challenge was to maximize the safety of all hospital employees while strengthening the fabric of the hospital security network as a whole. Since trenching and running a cable from the hospital's main building to the parking areas proved to be far too costly both in terms of budget and time/effort, the hospital was faced with identifying a solution that would not only provide a secure method of transmission, but do so without breaking the bank. A wireless surveillance solution comprised of two KBC WES-2 point-to-point systems serving a network of megapixel cameras was installed to monitor both the primary employee park area and the access gates in multiple areas, transmitting signals approximately 1,000 feet to the main building.
