The United Arab Emirates' Higher Colleges of Technology needed to consolidate and modernize its fragmented ICT infrastructure, which was serving 17 campuses and approximately 27,000 people. HCT wanted a modern, flexible platform to support innovative learning, to equip students with the knowledge to succeed in the modern workplace. The institution turned to Microsoft Azure and Office 365 to enable a BYOD strategy. As a result, HCT made huge savings and carved out its position as a technologically advanced organization. HCT evaluated a number of technology platforms from different vendors and ultimately chose to move to a cloud-based infrastructure with Microsoft Azure as its central hosting platform.
