The City of Cape Town, maintains two data centers that are used by its departments. In 2011, 150 of the city's 350 physical servers were reaching the end of their lives, posing a risk to the delivery of city services. Its decision rested on the adoption of a robust, integrated solution that was cost effective, efficient, highly automated and highly available.
