New South Wales is an immense state in southeast Australia that covers about 45,000 more square miles than the U.S. state of Texas. Their challenges are to maintain 100 percent network availability, centrally manage 100 branch offices across area of 312,000 square miles and simplify security management for limited staff. They chose Cisco to overcome these challenges. They have implemented Cisco ASA 5585-X series next-generation firewalls, web security appliance and identity services engine. The results of implementing Cisco were improved availability and reliability, consolidated firewall services to simplify management and it provided scalability to meet future needs.
