Sin Chew Media is a leading Chinese-language newspaper publisher in Malaysia - has implemented a virtualized infrastructure to run its editorial and workflow production system and meet newspaper print deadlines. Their challenge is to minimize potential disruption to critical applications and services. They chose VMware to overcome these challenges. Use VMware virtualization to cut system and information recovery times, and ensure the availability of a business-critical editorial and workflow production system. The results of implementing VMware were reduced recovery point objectives from about one day to 30 minutes, and recovery time objectives from up to five days to 30 minutes and it delivered availability of about 99 percent and above, up from 80 percent previously.
