Telecommunications company AXTEL sees cloud services as a way to better serve its customers and differentiate itself in an increasingly competitive market. When AXTEL wanted to create Lifesaver backup and disaster recovery service quickly and cost-effectively, it turned to white-label services from Microsoft and Seagate. The company estimates it saved half the cost and 80 percent of the time of developing and building out its own solution. The Lifesaver software is a white-label version of Seagate's backup and disaster recovery technology.
