N2y wanted a more interactive solution for delivering its special-education curriculum and other teaching materials. It decided to provide content on the Microsoft Azure platform and to offer capabilities such as text-to-speech and advanced analytics. Now, students are learning new skills in an engaging environment, teachers have better insight into performance and schools are saving money with more affordable, subscription-based services. N2y has now transferred all of its content to the cloud along with analytics tools that teachers can use to monitor the progress of individual students. Approximately 25,000 teachers worldwide will use its services when the new school year starts in the autumn of 2014.
